Gary Pinkus

Gary Pinkus advised alternative investment firm CEOs and leadership teams throughout his 30+ year career at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded the Firm’s Private Capital Practice, was a member of the Firm’s Shareholders Council (Board of Directors) for more than a decade, and most recently served as Chairman of North America. Prior to McKinsey, Gary worked at Dole Fresh Fruit in Honduras and in the M&A group at Bear Stearns. Gary’s work has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career, including Consulting Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2022), the Urban League of New York’s Annual Champion of Diversity (2019), and Resurge International’s Person of the Year (2001). Gary currently serves on the Board of Directors at Bloom Energy, Walker & Dunlop, and Sackville Capital, where he chairs the Platforms Committee.

Gary earned a B.A. in English and Quantitative Economics with Distinction from Stanford University and an M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for 36 years, have four children, and live in Woodside, CA with their two rescue dogs.
