Prior to his current role, Matt was the Global Head of QuantumBlack Labs, McKinsey’s AI software development and R&D hub, where he was responsible for building products to help organizations scale AI projects from proof-of-concept to production and operationalized business.

Matt earned a B.A. in Politics from Princeton University and M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alex Nee is an experienced advisor, investor, and operator with over 15 years of experience helping investing firms and PE-backed companies achieve significant growth. She specializes in firm- and fund-responsible investing strategy, ESG metrics and tracking, and achieving value creation initiatives for companies to drive meaningful, sustainable growth.

Alex is a Senior Advisor to Recess Capital, a mission driven PE firm co-founded by Malala Yousafzai, where she focuses on value creation and growth strategy across the portfolio. Previously, Alex was a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Private Capital Practice, where she co-led the Impact Investing service line as well as ESG/Sustainability engagements for private market clients. Alex’s experience includes serving several large and mid-market firms on their own strategy, supporting them on topics such as new firm and fund launches, investment strategy design, and setting Responsible Investing policies and ESG guardrails. Her work ensured that desired return and ESG/impact profiles were met while maximizing alignment with LP priorities. Before McKinsey, Alex worked in the Tech and Non-Profit fields.

Alex earned an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Gary Pinkus advised alternative investment firm CEOs and leadership teams throughout his 30+ year career at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded the Firm’s Private Capital Practice, was a member of the Firm’s Shareholders Council (Board of Directors) for more than a decade, and most recently served as Chairman of North America. Prior to McKinsey, Gary worked at Dole Fresh Fruit in Honduras and in the M&A group at Bear Stearns. Gary’s work has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career, including Consulting Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2022), the Urban League of New York’s Annual Champion of Diversity (2019), and Resurge International’s Person of the Year (2001). Gary currently serves on the Board of Directors at Bloom Energy, Walker & Dunlop, and Sackville Capital, where he chairs the Platforms Committee.

Gary earned his B.A. in English and Quantitative Economics with Distinction from Stanford University and his M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for 36 years, have four children, and live in Woodside, CA, with their two rescue dogs.

Lindsey Simon advises private equity, venture capital, and real estate firms as the Founder and CEO of Simon Compliance, a boutique firm she started in 2010 to help investment advisers comply with the ever-changing laws and regulations in the securities industry.

Lindsey has more than 25 years of experience as a securities professional and previously served as a Senior Attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement, as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Carpe Diem Capital Management, a Chicago-based hedge fund, and as an Associate in the litigation department of the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn.

Lindsey earned her B.A., cum laude, from Emory University, and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
